Imagine a project in harmony with the houseBefore : The owners of this pretty residence located on the Vendée coast have just completed the interior embellishment of their house, which they have renovated in a seaside spirit. They now wish to revamp the exteriors which have not benefited no work except a simple concrete screed. The latter adjoins the house and will serve as the basis for the future terrace, which the owners have imagined as a designer cocoon.
The landscapers of the Seven Garden agency, specialist in outdoor planning and design, initially offer them a 3D plan which depicts the future terrace in more real than life conditions! Once the modifications have been made, the work can finally start. In keeping with the owners' wishes, the new outdoor space combines contemporary style with an authentic atmosphere.
Like a bridge between past and present, the terrace integrates perfectly with the traditional building to which it brings a touch of modernity. The collaborators start by laying the tiling, which stands on the same studs as the composite covering so as not to create a difference in levels. In a second step, the planters are created before completing the structural work by installing composite wooden slats.
After : The works lasted less than a month, but the changes made are significant! The new terrace dares a clever mix between composite wooden slats and tiling. The spaces are now perfectly demarcated, either visually by the materials placed on the ground or thanks to the planters and outdoor furniture. The designers at Seven Garden have chosen large, light-colored tiles for the dining area, which have the advantage of resisting stains while being easy to maintain. All around, anthracite-colored composite wooden slats stretch out to the relaxation area. The light / dark contrast between these two materials is further reinforced by the integration of XXL planters, made with concrete blocks which are then coated and painted.
Vegetation also plays a key role in bringing the touches of color essential to this black & white set: agapanthes, hundred-year-old olive trees and bamboo are the new freshness assets that now punctuate exteriors. As for the furniture, it was chosen in very traditional lines to soften the modernity of the soil and the planters: the light gray and white stripes reinforce the "seaside" atmosphere and bring the final touch to this pretty house. family.
