Pour a slabThe laying of tiles on an old floor, in a room on one level during renovation works, generally requires the pouring of a slab with the double objective of having a flat and clean base for the new coating and level the floor. You can also pour a slab upstairs, provided that the structure of the house is able to support the load - you must therefore seek the advice of an architect.
Establish a planThe terracotta tiles are directly installed here, as you pour the slab. As with all floor tiles, it is prudent to start by making a plan of apparatus: it makes it possible to calculate the quantity of tiles necessary and to determine the best arrangement, so as to balance the cuts. In your calculations, do not forget to take into account the width of the joints.
